Environmental Consultations
When something doesn't seem right in your home or business, it isn't always obvious what type of inspection or testing you need—or whether testing is necessary at all.
MoldTec LLC provides professional environmental consultations to help homeowners, property owners, businesses, homebuyers, landlords, property managers, and real estate professionals better understand their concerns before deciding what to do next.
We'll listen to what's happening, review the information available, answer your questions, and help determine an appropriate next step for your property.
Get Professional Guidance Before You Test
You may notice an odor, discover water damage, receive an unexpected test result, find something that looks like mold, or simply have questions about the environmental conditions inside your property.
That doesn't automatically mean you need every available environmental test.
An environmental consultation gives you an opportunity to discuss the situation with MoldTec before deciding how to proceed.
Depending on your concerns, we can help you better understand whether you may need:
- Mold inspection
- Mold testing
- Water testing
- Indoor air quality testing
- Radon testing
- Bacteria testing
- Clearance inspection or Post-Remediation Verification
- Additional professional evaluation
- No immediate testing at all
Our goal is to help you choose an appropriate path based on your property and concerns.
Not Sure What Type of Testing You Need?
Environmental concerns aren’t always straightforward. A professional consultation can help you better understand your situation, discuss your concerns, and determine the right inspection or testing for your property.

Who Are Environmental Consultations For?
MoldTec's consultations can be helpful for:
- Homeowners
- Homebuyers
- Home sellers
- Business owners
- Commercial property owners
- Landlords
- Property managers
- Real estate professionals

Already Have Environmental Test Results?
Environmental reports can contain terminology, measurements, laboratory findings, and other information that isn't always easy to interpret.
If you've already had mold, water, bacteria, radon, or other environmental testing performed, MoldTec can help you review the information and better understand what the findings indicate.
We can also discuss whether additional testing or follow-up evaluation may be appropriate based on the results and conditions at the property.
Our Clearance Inspection Process
Stage 1: On-Site Inspection & Assessment
Step one
We perform a thorough visual inspection of the remediated areas, evaluate moisture conditions, and confirm that the remediation work appears complete. Air and surface samples are collected when appropriate based on the project.
Stage 2: Laboratory Testing & Analysis
Step two
Any collected samples are submitted to an accredited laboratory for professional analysis to determine mold spore levels and verify the effectiveness of the remediation.
Stage 3: Detailed Report & Clearance Verification
Step three
Once laboratory results are received, you'll receive a comprehensive report outlining the inspection findings, laboratory results, and professional recommendations. If the remediation has successfully met clearance criteria, documentation confirming successful post-remediation verification will be included.
Environmental Consultation FAQs
What is an environmental consultation?
An environmental consultation is an opportunity to discuss concerns about conditions within your home, business, or other property with an environmental professional. MoldTec can help identify potential concerns and determine whether additional inspection or testing may be appropriate.
Do I need to know which test I need before contacting MoldTec?
No. You don't need to diagnose the problem yourself. Tell us what's happening, and we'll help determine which type of inspection, testing, or additional evaluation may make sense.
Do I have to schedule testing after a consultation?
No. A consultation does not automatically mean testing will be necessary. The goal is to determine an appropriate next step based on your situation.
Can you help me decide between a mold inspection and mold testing?
Yes. Mold inspection and mold testing are different services. We can discuss your concerns and property conditions to help determine which approach—or combination of services—may be appropriate.
Can you review environmental testing that was performed by another company?
Yes. If you already have environmental or laboratory results, MoldTec can help you better understand the information and discuss whether additional evaluation may be appropriate.
Can you help with more than one environmental concern?
Yes. Some properties have overlapping concerns involving moisture, mold, water quality, indoor air, bacteria, radon, or previous remediation. We can discuss the overall situation and determine which concerns should be addressed.
Can I schedule a consultation before buying a home?
Yes. Environmental consultations can be helpful when questions arise during a real estate transaction and you need more information before deciding whether specialized testing should be performed.
Are MoldTec's recommendations independent?
MoldTec focuses on environmental inspection, testing, and consultation rather than selling remediation or treatment services. This allows our recommendations to remain focused on the environmental conditions being evaluated.
What happens after my consultation?
That depends on what we determine. You may decide to schedule an inspection or testing, seek another specialized professional, review additional information, or take another appropriate next step.
